Mali: Series of successful anti-terrorist offensives, determined Armed Forces under the command of President Assimi Goïta

The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) continue their national reconquest offensives, reaffirming their determination to defend the territory and ensure the safety of the population. Under the leadership of President Assimi Goïta and the high military command, a series of major anti-terrorist operations was carried out between May 19 and 28, 2025, according to the official report from the Chief of General Staff.

These targeted operations, executed with precision, resulted in the neutralization of terrorist armed groups, the destruction of several logistical convoys, and the disruption of terrorist operational capabilities in the regions of Gao, San, Timbuktu, and Ménaka.

Among the key highlights: in Hombori, a logistics vehicle was destroyed; terrorist gatherings—including drone operators—were dismantled in Timissa and Nioro du Sahel; and enemy convoys carrying weapons and explosives were neutralized in Banikane and Tidermene.

The General Staff praised these “carefully planned and executed” actions, which helped prevent attacks on civilians and significantly disrupted enemy networks.

This momentum confirms the growing strength of the FAMA, supported by the clear strategic vision of the Head of State, Colonel Assimi Goïta, who has made sovereignty, security, and stability in Mali a national priority.
