Football/ Franco Mastantuono joins Real Madrid

After attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs in recent months, Argentine wonderkid Franco Mastantuono has officially chosen Spain as the next step in his career. At just 17 years old, the talented right winger has signed with Real Madrid, confirming the club’s growing focus on securing the best young prospects.

Real Madrid announced the signing in an official statement, revealing that the player has committed to a six-year contract running until June 2031. Although the transfer fee was not disclosed, reports suggest the Spanish giants will pay around €40 million, matching his release clause at River Plate.

With this move, Real Madrid continues an ambitious summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Heavily pursued by several clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Mastantuono ultimately chose to join the Madrid project.

Having scored 7 goals and provided 4 assists in 19 appearances for River Plate, the Argentine international (1 cap) has impressed observers with his exceptional technique and powerful left foot. Regarded as one of the brightest prospects of his generation, he now prepares to test himself at the highest level of European football.

For the Azul-born forward, this transfer represents a major opportunity to showcase his talent within a squad packed with world-class stars. True to their tradition of recruiting future stars, Real Madrid is once again betting on youth to build for the future with the addition of this Argentine gem.
