Mali: What to remember from the release of two police officers by the FAMa, confirming their role as a national bulwark

The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) have once again demonstrated their unwavering commitment to the Nation. Following a carefully executed operation carried out with precision and composure, they successfully freed two police officers who had been abducted on August 6 along the Tombouctou–Douentza road by terrorist groups.

Beyond the release of hostages, this victory stands as a powerful symbol that Mali never abandons its sons. Thanks to the vigilance and determination of our soldiers, extremist forces failed in their attempt to spread fear and weaken the State. The freed officers were brought with dignity before the President of the Transition, General Assimi Goïta, a testament to the State’s intact and sovereign authority.

The successful operation once again highlights the effectiveness of the national military strategy. It also illustrates the growing strength of the FAMa, who are capable of tracking down the enemy across all terrains and defending every citizen with exemplary tenacity.

Beyond the military action itself, this liberation fosters national pride and unity. It reminds us that victory against terrorism is not only measured by the number of enemies neutralized, but also by the protection and rescue of every innocent life. Through their bravery, the FAMa today embody the hope and resilience of a determined people.
