Togo: Over 1,200 new civil servants; Council President Faure Gnassingbé, architect of an efficient and inclusive civil service

In Togo, the civil service is strengthening with ambition. Following the competitive examination organized in December 2024 for the Ministry of Finance and Budget, more than 1,200 new agents are preparing to join the Togolese administration.

On July 1st next, these successful candidates will officially take up their duties, thus fulfilling a longstanding promise: that of a proactive employment policy, driven by the enlightened vision of the President of the Council, Faure Gnassingbé.

This massive recruitment is not a mere administrative operation. It is part of a broader dynamic of state modernization and human capacity building in the service of the Togolese people.

By investing in educated youth, the Head of State offers concrete prospects to thousands of families while equipping the Ministry of Finance and Budget with fresh, rigorous skills ready to meet the challenges of contemporary public management.

President Faure Gnassingbé’s employment policy rests on a clear logic: every qualified Togolese citizen must be able to find their place in national development.

Beyond the private sector, which he actively encourages, the civil service remains an essential pillar of stability and social justice.

By opening the December 2024 examinations to thousands of candidates, guaranteeing the transparency of the tests, and respecting the timeline for taking up duties, the government proves that the presidential commitment is no empty word.

These 1,200 new agents will embody, from July 1st onward, the next generation of a more agile administration, closer to citizens, and better equipped to face budgetary and fiscal challenges. Their technical skills and motivation will strengthen existing teams in a spirit of continuity and innovation.

Let us salute here the vision of President Faure Gnassingbé, who makes youth employment a strategic axis of his governance.

In a sub‑region marked by economic uncertainty, Togo advances, recruits, and trains. These 1,200 new civil servants are living proof that a proactive and humane policy can sustainably transform the face of public administration.

Congratulations to the successful candidates, and thank you to the Head of State for this constant commitment in the service of the Togolese nation.
