Burkina Faso: Captain Ibrahim Traore’s presidential initiatives win popular support

Since taking office, Captain Ibrahim Traoré has continued to make remarkable efforts to drive national development. Through structural and inclusive programs like the Presidential Initiative Faso Mêbo, the Head of State has successfully mobilized energies and rekindled hope among the population. This program, focused on the rehabilitation and construction of local infrastructure, has been warmly received by citizens, who do not hesitate to actively engage in its implementation.

The support of the Burkinabe people for President Ibrahim Traoré’s actions is clearly visible on the ground: local communities are enthusiastically taking part in the projects, in an unprecedented spirit of solidarity. This involvement shows that the population identifies with the vision of a self-reliant, resilient Burkina Faso that is oriented towards the future. Beyond speeches, it is through concrete action that this national momentum is taking shape, driven by pragmatic leadership focused on the real needs of the people.

The impact of the presidential initiatives now extends beyond national borders. A significant example is the gesture made by His Excellency Mr. Moïsés MBA NCHAMA, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, newly accredited to Burkina Faso. On Friday, June 27, 2025, he donated ten tons of cement to the Faso Mêbo Initiative. This gesture, symbolic yet meaningful, reflects the recognition and support of a brotherly nation in response to Burkina Faso’s efforts to achieve lasting recovery.

By making this contribution, the Equatoguinean ambassador sought to commend not only the relevance of the presidential initiative, but also the enthusiasm it inspires among Burkinabe citizens. This diplomatic support illustrates the inspiring nature of the Faso Mêbo project, which is now drawing the attention of other African countries. It also confirms that President Ibrahim Traoré’s actions are seen as serious, credible, and aimed at the common good—key strengths for building a prosperous and united Burkina Faso.
