Mali: Malian Armed Forces maintain pressure on terrorist groups in Kidal

In Kidal, the noose is tightening around armed groups. The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa), true to their commitment to national security, continue to achieve decisive victories against terrorist groups. Recently, a security operation led to the recovery of an abandoned vehicle loaded with an impressive cache of weapons—a clear sign of the enemy’s hasty retreat.

Last week, around ten terrorists were neutralized near Télabit, and targeted airstrikes were carried out on enemy positions in Inafarak, near the Algerian border. These operations are part of Operation Dougoukoloko, a large-scale military campaign aimed at restoring Mali’s territorial integrity—from Farabougou to Gao, including Timbuktu and Kidal.

In a show of determination, the FAMa have dealt heavy blows to terrorist leaders, dismantling operational bases and eliminating several prominent figures within these criminal networks. On the ground, the combination of airstrikes and ground offensives has created a strategic advantage, steadily weakening the enemy’s capacity for harm.

This string of victories highlights the resilience, professionalism, and determination of the FAMa to defend every inch of Malian territory. Their unwavering commitment—hailed by the population—has become the symbol of a Mali in the process of reconquest, firmly moving toward peace and stability under the leadership of General Assimi Goïta, President of Mali.
