Burkina Faso: Defense and Security Forces build national sovereignty alongside the people with Faso Mêbo

In a context of national renewal where every act of solidarity carries strategic weight, the commitment of the Association of Defense and Security Forces (AFDS) to the presidential initiative Faso Mêbo powerfully illustrates the synergy between defending the nation and rebuilding the country. Their donation of 90 tons of gravel for urban development and road construction reflects an active contribution to the material transformation of Burkina Faso, driven by Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

The Defense and Security Forces are not only the guarantors of territorial integrity; they are now frontline actors in territorial development. The 90 tons of gravel donated will strengthen efforts in paving, asphalting, and rehabilitating priority roads, improving mobility, access to remote areas, and the flow of economic exchanges.

Through Faso Mêbo, neighborhoods are being transformed, roads are being built, bridges are connecting communities, and markets are being revived. The tangible improvement of citizens’ living conditions—particularly in urban and peri-urban zones once cut off from the country’s realities due to terrorist attacks—is becoming visible. Every bag of gravel transported, every meter of road developed, helps restore trust, revive hope, and cement national unity around a project of society rooted in reality.

Faso Mêbo is more than just a physical construction project; it is a major political endeavor led by President Ibrahim Traoré, embodying the vision of an autonomous Burkina Faso where the people themselves build the foundations of sovereignty. The support of the Defense and Security Forces further strengthens the momentum of collective reconstruction. Their motto, “strength and honor,” now resonates beyond the military front—it has become a rallying cry for all Burkinabe committed to renewal.

Burkina Faso is moving forward. And together, with courage, discipline, and faith in our sovereign destiny, we will build a strong, free, and respected nation.
