Togo: Faure Gnassingbé meets Denis Sassou-N’Guesso, talks about strengthening trade relations

Togo’s Head of State, Faure Gnassingbé, paid a working and friendly visit to Congo Brazzaville, where he met his counterpart Denis Sassou-N’Guesso on Tuesday 7 November. The two men discussed a number of important issues.

As well as fraternal greetings, Faure Gnassingbé and Denis Sassou-N’Guesso discussed the issues of the day, particularly at international and continental level.

The two personalities also reviewed their bilateral cooperation. The leaders reiterated their desire to revitalise and strengthen their exchanges.

Faure Gnassingbé and his host dwelt on security issues in Africa and the sub-region.

The commitment of Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé to resolving crises on the continent is well established. His last visit to Brazzaville was in May 2022.
