Mali: Prime Minister in Seville for the 4th International Meeting on Financing for Development

Seville (Spain), June 28, 2025 — The Prime Minister of Mali, General Abdoulaye Maïga, arrived this Saturday in Seville to represent the President of the Transition, General Assimi Goïta, at the 4th International Meeting on Development Financing.

Welcomed upon arrival at the airport by Mali’s ambassador to Spain and members of the Malian community living there, the Prime Minister received a warm reception, marked by slogans of support such as “Long live Mali, long live the AES”. This visit reflects the backing expressed by the diaspora for the transitional authorities.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by a government delegation made up of three ministers, a diplomatic adviser, and several senior public administration officials. This participation highlights Mali’s commitment to strengthening its efforts in development financing through the consolidation of strategic partnerships and the mobilization of resources in support of national priorities.

The international meeting in Seville brings together political leaders, donors, and development experts to discuss innovative financing mechanisms in support of economies in transition.
