Burkina Faso: Ministry of Economy staff join forces with Faso Mêbo for national reconstruction

In a gesture of active patriotism, the staff of the Ministry of Economy and Finance on September 10, 2025, contributed material donations worth 25 million CFA francs to the presidential initiative Faso Mêbo. Comprising cement, granite, a concrete mixer, paving molds, and construction tools, this contribution goes beyond a simple donation; it symbolizes the public administration’s concrete commitment to the national rebuilding momentum driven by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

Through this action, ministry employees move beyond their traditional roles in public finance management to become frontline actors, directly participating in the transformation of Burkina Faso’s cities and villages. This material support accelerates development projects, rehabilitates infrastructure, and creates local jobs, particularly in municipalities involved in paving production.

Beyond logistics, the initiative carries major political significance. It aligns with the President’s project of rebuilding a sovereign, resilient Burkina Faso that controls its own development. It demonstrates that the public administration can be a driver of change, that patriotism can be expressed through work, and that every citizen—whether civil servant or laborer—has a role in consolidating national sovereignty.

Faso Mêbo is more than a paving program; it represents a political vision of self-reliance, rejection of dependency, and direct Burkinabè involvement in transforming their country. This model inspires, structures, and mobilizes.

The time for waiting is over. The time is for commitment, collective work, and the voluntary and dignified reconstruction of the Nation.
