Pedri extends empathy to Gavi: Barcelona’s Unity Shines Amidst Challenges

Pedri Gonzalez, honored with the “Best Fan’s Player of the Season” award at the Marca Awards on Thursday, sent a comforting message to his friend Pablo Gavi, who suffered a severe injury during the recent international break while representing Spain.

Gavi, facing an expected absence of eight months to a year, sustained ligament and meniscus damage during the match against Georgia in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

Barcelona anxiously awaits the medical verdict on Gavi’s recovery, with the official assessment scheduled for November 28.

The entire team, including Pedri, is rallying behind Gavi during this challenging time.

Pedri expressed his support, emphasizing the importance of health and pledging the team’s assistance in Gavi’s recovery.

«We’re here for everything he needs,» Pedri stated in a mixed zone interview, echoing his solidarity with his injured teammate.
