Countdown to Euro 2024: Groups unveiled as teams gear up for football glory

From June 14 to July 14, 2024, the quest for the coveted trophy will unfold as 24 teams aim to dethrone Italy, the reigning champions from 2021. The host nation, Germany, finds itself in a relatively favorable group alongside Hungary, Switzerland, and Scotland, with the opening match against Scotland scheduled for June 14, 2024.

In Group D, France is set to face off against the Netherlands, renewing their rivalry from the qualifying rounds. Both Portugal (Group F) and Belgium (Group E) also seem to have landed in groups with manageable opponents.

However, the spotlight falls on Group B as the most challenging in the upcoming European Championship, featuring past winners Spain and the defending champion Italy, alongside Croatia with Luka Modric, a semi-finalist in the last World Cup, and Albania. The group draw is summarized as follows:

Group A: Germany, Hungary, Scotland, Switzerland

Group B: Spain, Albania, Croatia, Italy

Group C: England, Denmark, Slovenia, Serbia

Group D: France, Austria, Netherlands, Play-off Winner 1

Group E: Belgium, Romania, Slovakia, Play-off Winner 2

Group F: Portugal, Turkey, Czech Republic, Play-off Winner 3.
