Burkina Faso: Opening of the New BDU-BF Branch in Cissin, Ouagadougou

The Bank of Burkina Faso Union  (BDU-BF) inaugurated its new branch in Cissin, a dynamic neighbourhood in Ouagadougou, during an official ceremony on November 10, 2023. The ceremony took place under the patronage of the President of the Special Delegation of the city of Ouagadougou, Maurice Konaté, and the sponsorship of the Director General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina.

The opening of this branch marks a significant expansion for BDU-BF, making it its 23rd point of sale after 8 years of operation.

The Bank’s Director General, Amadou Allaye Sankaré, emphasized that this expansion reflects the growth aspirations set by the Bank’s Board of Directors.

In terms of financial performance, BDU-BF reported a total balance sheet of 421 billion as of September 30, 2023, positioning it as the 6th bank out of 16 in terms of net profit.

The Director General also expressed the Bank’s ambition to consolidate its position by aiming for the top 5 banks in Burkina Faso.

The ceremony was attended by official representatives, including the president of the special delegation of the city of Ouagadougou and the Deputy Director of the Chamber of Commerce.

They highlighted the importance of this new branch for the Cissin neighborhood, emphasizing the Bank’s continued commitment to supporting various economic sectors in Burkina Faso.

The Director General concluded by inviting customers to make this BDU-BF Cissin branch their own, highlighting personalized service provided by a team of young professionals proficient in modern financial technic.
