U17 World Cup: Senegal eyes qualification for the round of 16

Senegal will play its second match in the U17 World Cup against Poland (Group D) on Tuesday at 9 am GMT in Indonesia.

After defeating Argentina 2-1 in the first match, the African champions aim for another victory this morning.

If they win, the Lion Cubs will already secure a spot in the round of 16 before facing Japan in the third match.

The national coach, Serigne Saliou Dia, may rotate his squad, giving key players a rest in preparation for upcoming challenges and involving substitutes.

«We know that in this competition, we have a reduced squad of 21 players», emphasized assistant coach Souleymane Diallo, as reported by Record.

«It is important that all players feel involved. Winning this match against Poland will mean qualification for the next round and provide an opportunity to utilize the entire squad».
