Nigeria/Nollywood: Actor Hanks Anuku cries out

A veteran Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku has been unemployed for years.

This follows a widely shared video of him at a gas station in Delta that raised concerns on the Internet about his well-being.

Anuku said that although he is a legend, he has been unemployed for years.

He enlisted the help of Nigerians and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in a video plea that went viral on social media.

He said, «I worked for this country. I reached the pinnacle of legend. But I haven’t had a job for how many years, God knows. And I expect the Nigerians to also know that I did everything for them».

«I will simply ask Governor Sheriff [Oborevwori] to support me. And my fans who really love and appreciate the works I’ve done for them, if you think you really love me, may God help you all to help me».
